I assume you have a good Anti-virus program & a Anti-spyware program. If not get one. Avast & AVG are both great and free virus programs. Adaware SE & Microsoft Anti-Spyware are good and free. Turn off System Restore. Restart the computer in Safe Mode by tapping F8 at startup. Run your Anti-virus program and Anti-spyware program. Once the Trojan is removed, restart the computer. Now run disk clean-up and defrag. If you still have the trojan, go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Run the free on-line scan and remove all that they find. Once the Trojan has been removed, be sure to turn System Restore back on and create a restore point. Restart the computer.

There are many sites that can guide you on this. One of my recommendations; http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_Removal_and_Prevention:_Introduction
Get Hijackthis, a freeware program. Scan for the refence to the file that AVG can't remove. Redo AVG virus scan. Reboot, repeat if necessary.
IVE just updated my avg antivirus software and run it. It found downloader.briss and removed it to the virus vault.
