go back to your unit/S-1 and they will take it off and your good to go
whether there is a warrant issued depends upon how long one is AWOL/UA. If in the Army, a federal warrant for desertion can be issued sometime after your 30th day absent. This will only happen once a soldier is dropped from the rolls of his unit (DFRd).
Appear on the warrant
== == Well you should already know if your AWOL from the military because you left your base or unit. Now saying that if you want to find out if you are now considered a deserter and there is a warrant out for your arrest then you need to call the Deserter Information Point aka DIP. I don't know your situation or circumstance but you should also call the people at GI Rights Hotline and talk to a someone. They counsel thousands of awol/deserter soldiers every year.
The warrant will never expire. The only way to get it taken care of is if a judge will get rid of it.

If you know what the warrant is in response to, correct the issue. For instance, pay the fine, contact the court that issued the warrant, or show up at the police station with a lawyer.
