Face your fear. Spend time in the dark.

But you have to be prepared to face it, I mean, you don't just go up to a bunch of Spiders if you are afraid of spiders. You should do things like start with dim lights, then dim them even more until you are okay with total darkness, then walk around your house in total darkness, then learn to do a lot of things in the darkness, then finally learn to sleep in total darkness.

And remember that noises you hear at night time are nothing unusual. They happen all day, but during the night time you are not focusing on anything else and notice things you would not normally notice during the day.

At night people think only of scary things in the dark.They see things,hear tham etc. The rason behind that is that they just think of scary things in their minds and then get scared on the slightest of noise or movememt. If you concentrate on sleep then you will forget it and sleep in a sound manner,

Im 13 and had a fear till last year now that i applied this rule i dont feel scared anymore so enjoy your sllep dont spoil these moments of extreme peace

There are many, many methods out there. Whatever method you choose, you have to keep reminding yourself that there is nothing to fear, and everything is the same in the dark as in the light. This is because a fear of darkness is usually caused by a fear of the unknown, because darkness masks whatever is in the area, making it unknown. If you come to acknowledge that nothing changes when it becomes dark, it can help to control your phobia.

Fear is a hard thing to conquer. You have to be logical. If you face your fears and tell yourself what is logical or realistic instead, you will stop being afraid. For example, if your mind says "There's a monster in the closet," you can say "Realistically, nobody has ever found a monster in any closet in the world" or "Logically, that shadow is my raincoat, not a monster."
