I could not get rid of it myself for some time too. But when I upgraded to the AVG 8.0 FREE Edition it located it and got rid of it and tons of other things like spyware,adware that my spybt & other programs missed. I have tried numerous other programs like Norton's, Mc Afee, etc.. But I feel AVG is definitely the best there is out there. All of my family & friends use it and none of us have had any more problems. It catches everything. It is so easy to use and they do not send you any junk mail, ads, nothing. It's hard to believe it is free because it works far better than every paid one I have used. You will be very happy with it!. They added anti-spyware and updated the interface in the 8.0 edition. They also added a link scanner which works in your internet browser which identifies sites that are known to be or are dangerous and displays it beside the links.
