Only commercial vehicles were equipped with speed limiting devices. Sometimes people think a vehicle has a governor when in fact it's just a matter of physics, where you're pushing a large mass (the truck) against a large column of air (wind resistance).
The mass and the wind resistance are typically consistent, resulting in the total horsepower only being capable of a specific speed.
In other words, I doubt that you have a governor or any other speed limiting device.
You do not get rid of the speed limiter. It is in the engine control computer and you would have to have it reprogrammed.
I my experiece (not that I would know *caugh*) you can get past the speed limiter eventually, you just need a longer stretch of road and a steady foot ;)
The PCM has to be reprogrammed by a tuner. www.pcmforless.com www.trailvoy.com has all the answers in real time.
The engine speed limiter is part of the computer programming and is not removable. You would have to replace/ reprogram the computer.
i have a hypertech, but any aftermarket handheld programmer should allow you to remove the top speed limiter from the stock computer program.
As far I know, there are no physical rev limiter. In fact, in most electronically controlled fuel injected engines, rev limiter is controled by ignition module.
There is no governor. The rev and speed limiters are programmed to the ECU. You can get rid of the speed limiter and up your rev to 7500 by (direct bolt on) swapping the stock ECU for one from an Infiniti G20 or G20t (OBD2)
buy a power programer or get in with a mechanic that's got a computer that he can plug it up to they can do it
Is the speed is controlled by your ISP for eg Verizon then you cannot change the speed.
when do you unlock paint
now do you get ride of creaping speed well plants ?
It deppends on what type of internet you have. If you have Charter always fast. If you have DSL fast when you get it and midium speed when you want to get rid of it.
