What you do is over heat it.
follow these steps and your xbox should be fixed
1.Make sure all the cables are plugged in.
2.put three (Big towels) over your xbox 360 and make sure you cover it real good. The spot that you really want to make sure is covered is the back. The back is where the heat escapes so since your covering the back, the heat cant escape therefore, it comes back in.
3. Once your xbox 360 is covered with towels really good you turn it on. You will see that you still have the red ring(s). What you do is you leave your xbox on with the towels covering it completely and let overheat for 20 minutes. Make sure you check the time you started so you can know what time you can turn off your xbox. For example: if you started at 3:20 you would turn it off at 3:40. While waiting do something fun or eat or whatever
4. Once you have left your xbox on for 20 minutes with the towels completely covering it,turn off your xbox and take of the towels. Notice that one or more of the towels will be hot that's normal.
5. Let your xbox cool for another 20 minutes. This would really go better if you put it in a place that gets a lot of air (NOT OUTSIDE).
6. Once you have waited 20 minutes for your xbox to cool down turn it back on and you xbox should work.
7. Step seven jump up and down and start playing it again :D
