If you are using a Twitter application on your iPhone then you can add additional smileys or emoticons to your tweets. To do this you have to download an app that gives you the images. There are various ones to choose from in the app store. Once you have downloaded the app you will have an additional keyboard that contains them. You can then simply select them when you are typing your tweet. You can also use them in text messages. However, only those using an iPhone device can see them.
Currently, I don't think Twitter has a feature to put emoticons in your status updates (tweets). You'll just have to stick the old fashioned way of creating your own. :-) or :)
:) Good luck!
It will be: :) or :-)
":)" For a smiley or ":D" for a grin.
A winking smiley face an be made in Microsoft Word and on paper. People can make a winking smiley face by putting a semicolon and a parenthesis together. But how to make a REAL one??
Go to Insert and Symbol and you will find the smiley face in the Winddigs character set.
