If someone gets extraordinarily angry when you try to get them to stop drinking, then they have a serious problem. If you are talking more like at a party and they want to get drunk and you are trying to get them to slow down, it's more reasonable that they might get annoyed or yell, especially if they are already slightly inebriated.
If it is more like a everyday thing, then I would seek professional help in getting this person to solve their problem.
