Well, so far, Gmail does not have stationary. That really ticks me off because my cuz has a mac book and on that she can press a little thing on her e-mail account (she does use gmail) and she gets to use all this nice stationary stuff.
UPDATED June 24th, 2012:
Yes; Gmail has stationery, for both Mac & PC.
Go to the "web store" using your Google Chrome and in the search box, (copy and paste) : email Backgrounds, Email Stationery
The app that you'll use will pop up... install it.
It's easy process once you decide on which stationery - and it does work.
- Use the app. by clicking on the app in your Google Chrome.. (new tab where your apps are kept)
- Pick out your stationery and then copy it like the directions say on the site..
- Open your gmail
- Click Compose (to start a new email)
- paste the stationery you chose into that new email.
- then type ;)
- send
The site via the app, gives you better instructions, but pretty much the same here.

Well, there is no such thing as stationary on gmail.
No.
You can make your Gmail background different by applying themes. These themes have interesting backgrounds in it. You can also upload a manual background.
You can put a background on a gmail page via various themes. There are themes like black, green, blue, white etc. They put their respective backgrounds on the screen.
Depending on your processing software, as one idea you can create a background "layer." Not unlike email stationery.
You can edit the background to the way you want. The background can be edited via themes. You can manually upload any wallpaper on it.
They will normally would get a email from them and it would be called 'Welcome to gmail' and click on it and press 'Customise gmail'. It will show lots of backgrounds you can choose from and when you choose one and your happy. Press save and it will save it so when you go on gmail next time. There will be a background. NOTE: You can change it any time by going on that email.
That's because there r 2 types of stationery. 1.Stationary means standing still 2.Stationery means pencils pens etc. So that's why stationery is called stationery
As far as I know, you cannot change Google Drive's background. You can only change Chrome and Gmail backgrounds.
# In the upper-left of your Mail page, click New to open a Compose window. # To use stationery, you need to be in Rich Text mode. #* When you're in Rich Text, you'll see a row of buttons (the Rich Text toolbar) above the Compose window. You'll see B for bold, U for underline, etc. See them? If not, click Rich Text above the upper-right corner of the compose window. # The stationery button is on the far-right end of the Rich Text toolbar. Click this button to open (and close) the stationery column on the right side of the page. # At the top of the stationery column you'll see the heading, "Stationery." And just under the word "Stationery," you'll see a link that tells you what category of stationery you're looking at. #* Categories include Featured, Abstract, Holidays and Events, Nature, and more! # Click the link, then click any category to view the designs that are in it. # When you see a stationery design that you like, just click on it directly to add it to your email. That's it! Your selection will remain in effect on the next email you compose. To turn off stationery, click None at the top of any stationery category.
