remove wiper arms from vehicle
turn wipers on
then turn wipers off
shut off ignition
replace wiper arms at the down position
this should be the return position when ever u shut wipers off

you must mean a 2002 Jeep Liberty, but it's on the right hand side as you face the engine with the hood up. look down between the drive belt, and it's behind the belt.
