The first position of the wiper stalk on my 306, is the 'intermittent' or auto position. The second is continuous slow, and the top position is continuous fast.

If these do not work, then the stalk is broken!

Why do wipers stay on vehicle when ignition is off?

Wipers may stay on when the ignition is off due to a malfunction in the vehicle's electrical system, such as a faulty relay or switch. Additionally, some vehicles have a feature that allows wipers to operate for a short period after the ignition is turned off, particularly if they were in use during rain. This can help clear the windshield of water before the driver exits the vehicle. If wipers remain on for an extended period, it may indicate a need for repair.
