Park the truck so the front end is raised or jack it up, to get the radiator opening higher than the heater core. Then bleed the system normally by filling and running, heat on high, until thermostat opens. Then refill and top off.
how to bleed air out of cooling system 1997honda civic ex
To bleed air from the cooling system, take off the radiator cap and let the engine run. IF there is no radiator cap(some vehicle manufacturers have done away with them, just add coolant to the overflow tank to the correct level. The cooling system will purge air out on it's own
Engine cooling system is not a closed system you can't remove the air.

Air bound means that there is an "air bubble" in the cooling system that is preventing coolant from circulating in the cooling/heating system. (air can be compressed fluid cannot)
You'll need a vacuum pump that is used by AC service technicians.
You may have air pockets trap in the cooling system.
COOLING SYSTEM OF WHAT ??????????????????????? Most auto parts stores sell cooling flushing kits. Get one follow the directions and it should take the air out of the system. You must remember that your heater is part of the cooling system as well as the cooling for your transmission.

If the cooling system is in good working order the system will bleed the air out itself. If the system has a leak anywhere no matter how small the system will never bleed the air out.
there should be a air valve on the engine that you can bleed the bubbles out of the cooling system.
Back flushing on a cooling system is when you get all of the trapped air out of your cars cooling system. This will make your vehicle run better after you do it.
