dear PERSON,Nobody knows for sure
how do you take clips off
The fuel filter should be an inline type. There is a clip on ache end. Pull the clips off and the filter can be removed. Be careful that fuel does not spray on you, as the fuel is under pressure.
yes, a tool that looks like scissors, its designed to get the clips off the fuel filter lines. its like 5 bucks at an autoshop yes, a tool that looks like scissors, its designed to get the clips off the fuel filter lines. its like 5 bucks at an autoshop
squeeze the ends together and they will pop off.
it is located under the driver side of the car, towards the rear of the vehicle, in front of the rear tire. there are two bolts holding the fuel filter bracket in place, undo those bolts and then you can lower the fuel filter enought to more easyly undo the fuel lines, the fuel lines have built in clips that secure the fuel lines to the filter, simply squeeze the clips together and pull the fuel line off, but becareful, quite a bit of fuel will pour out of the filter, so it is best to have a catch pan to catch all the excess fuel. then you simply reverse this process to install the new filter. once it is put back together, turn the turn to the on position, but do not start the car, this will prime the fuel lines and fuel filter with fuel, it is best to do this a few times before starting the car
it may seem hard but it is quiet simple. On that Saturn it has a hose already attached to the fuel filter. It has what they call quick connects on both sides. just remove one side of air intake. (the one closest to firewall of car) where you can get your arm in there. Reach right under fuel filter and grab two white or green tabs with pointer finger and thumb. and squeeze till they make a snaping noice. then all you have to do is reach under fuel filter and pull hose off. Then push the black clips around fuel filter out and it should slide out. The same on the hose already connected to the fuel filter. you do not have to get under your car. my fingers would not get up threw there anyway, hope i helped
the fuel filter is located on the firewall on the drivers side of the engine, it is better to get to from underneath, unbolt one bolt that is holding the starter in place, then there are two clips on each end of the fuel filter holding the lines on, pry then out maybe using a screwdriver, if your new filter comes with these new clips then dont worry about breaking them, then after you get them out you should be able to just pull the lines off then pull the filter out.
Your fuel filter is located in the Engine Compartment. It should be on the Firewall right behind the engine closer to the driverside of the car. Once you find it, there will be 2 retaining clips holding the fuel lines to the fuel filter. Take a screwdriver and pry off the retaining clip off the top. And there is another clip on the underside of the fuel filter. Then unfasten the filter retaing clamp screw and remove the fuel filter. Install in reverse order.
could be bad fuel filter.
you unscrew the band clamp around the filter then remove the 2 white clips on each end of the fuel lines they pull out.the pull off the lines, remove the filter from its houseing and repeat to replace
Before you disconnect the fuel filter you MUST de-pressurize your fuel lines, you can do this by taking off the cap on the fuel rail and depress the valve slowly, then you can remove the filter. There is a set of quick disconnect tools available at all auto parts stores. You simply slide the tool onto the line at the filter and press it into the pressure fittings on your fuel lines. This will release the filter from the lines. To re-install just push the new filter into the lines( making sure flow is in the right direction) and push retainer clips back on the lines.. NOTE.. the retainer clips have to be removed before you can pull off the old filter.
The fuel filter is located under the passenger side near the rear tire. The only tool needed is a short flat tipped screwdriver. Use the screwdriver to pry the two clips (one on each end of the filter) Take notice of the flow direction. Then use the screwdriver to loosen the clamp holding the filter up. Pull the fuel line off of each side (be careful of the fuel coming out). Slide filter out of the clamp. Slide new filter into the clamp and tighten. Replace fuel lines and put on the new clips. Done
