it may seem hard but it is quiet simple. On that Saturn it has a hose already attached to the fuel filter. It has what they call quick connects on both sides. just remove one side of air intake. (the one closest to firewall of car) where you can get your arm in there. Reach right under fuel filter and grab two white or green tabs with pointer finger and thumb. and squeeze till they make a snaping noice. then all you have to do is reach under fuel filter and pull hose off. Then push the black clips around fuel filter out and it should slide out. The same on the hose already connected to the fuel filter. you do not have to get under your car. my fingers would not get up threw there anyway, hope i helped
what has to be removed to get to fuel filter
The fuel filter is on the drivers side frame under the brake master cylinder. To change it remove the 2 10mm nuts from the filter bracket then disconnect the fuel lines to it AND CAREFULLY REMOVE do not bend the plastic lines.
under the car driver side frame
If its anything like a 1996, the fuel filter is located on the drivers side of the firewall. It however is a Saturn only part, means you get the part from Saturn. It has the fuel lines attached to it.They are plastic and black. 1 unhooks from the fuel intake and the other 1 is under the car. Not hard at all to change this, just a pest that it only comes from Saturn. Luck
See link below
How do you change the fuel filter on a Saturn Ion?" this might sound funny, but it's under the hood. it don't look like the oil filter your use to buying. look for a round cylinder type part with a large plastic nut. That's the oil filter, the fuel filter is under the car passenger side rear. holy crap who the hell said the oil filter is the fuel filter?
where is the fuel filter located on 96 ford ranger supercab
Change the fuel filter
Its in the tank or above it
to hard.. get a mechanic to do it.......
Change it every 50,000 miles.
Its on the drivers side, under the hood, in the engine compartment. Eric
