You will need to purchase an installation kit and a wiring harness adapter (they are specific to your year/make/model). The installation kit should have instructions on how to get the old radio out. There should be several screws that hold the trim panel in, the radio is held in with clips, just squeeze and slide the radio out.

You have to call a Gm service center and give them your vin number. I work at a stereo install shop and we have to do it all the time every time we unplug those types of GM radios.
