One of the best things you can do is turn your keyboard OR your laptop upside down and give it a good shake side to side. For laptops don't shake to hard. After that, take a vacum cleaner with a small brush attachment, run it across the keys a couple times. You could also have someone hold the keyboard upside down and do this. When all is said & done......
Go buy some Xtra large ziploc bags, one that will fit over the laptop keyboard part. You can work the rest out yourself.

Your laptop keys turn off after a while if the sticky keys are turned on.
Is the keys on a laptop or desktop? Is on a desktop they just pop off real easy and you can replace them with new keys. If it is on a laptop they are a little harder and require some work.
Broken
Yes most do
Try popping the key out and cleaning it to make sure there's no dust. And make Sure your keyboard is connected with the power supply.
The method of taking keys off a laptop keyboard is different depending on the model. Consult your owner's manual for details.
A phone is usually much smaller than a laptop, so the keys have to be smaller and fewer :-) The keys also have to be harder, so they are not so easily pressed when you have the phone in the pocket.
