The Living Quarters key is in a closet near the top of the Greenhouse in the Research Laboratory (Production Zone, far right of the island).
*Be sure you have the Rubber Mallet from Sully's, and the Dirty Beaker from the Museum before going there.
Use the Drawbridge Key to cross right from the Hub to the Botanical Research Laboratory.
go inside the the nail place then go up, after you will see the robot shocked then there's a plant monster that throws blobs at you. to beat him you need to get past the blobs then there will be a door that says maintenance door. go
inside and you will see a dead robot which is holding a key collect that and there will be a siren quickly get out of there and go up then smash the crack with the rubber mallet and then your done
If you have the rubber mallet from the trash pile at Sully's Paraphernalia, you can exit the production zone lab at the top window. At the upper left, look for a crack that you can use the mallet on.
If you don't have the mallet, you have no way out -- the hose will keep you from going back down. Put the key back where you found it and the alarm will stop. Unfortunately, you will have to go all the way back to Sully's for the mallet before you can get the key.
Get the right attachment named the " Living Quarters Key" and solve it with the steam battery.
The Living Quarters are on the very left side of Steamworks Island, before you reach the Storeroom at far left. Here is the main layout : Annex-Living Quarters / Garage-Sully's / Cantina-Museum / Hub / Research Lab (Production Zone) You go to the Living Quarters to find the robot crab and get Sully's key. You can't get inside until you have the key, which is in a closet in the Production Zone, behind a monster plant. When you go there, bring the dirty beaker (museum) and the mallet (Sully's).
It is by the "tightrope" vines at upper left past the Living Quarters. The only way to get there is through the quarters using the key, which is in a closet all the way across the island in the Research labs. (see related question)
You can't reach it from below. You will need the key to the Living Quarters, which is in the Production Zone at the far right of the island. You can reach the tightrope and the Mech Crank by entering the Living Quarters and exiting at the top door (visible at the right of the vine). (see related question)
You use the same Steam Battery to open the two doors (Sully, Living Quarters) and lower the bridge. But in each case you still need the key. Sully's key is in the Robot Crab, the Bridge Key is in Ziggs' room atop the Hub, and the Living Quarters key is (perversely) in a closet at the Research Lab all the way to the right of the island. Getting to it is more than half of the quest.(see the related questions)
You don't put it anywhere. Like the keys for Sully's and the Bridge control, you open the door using the Steam battery. You just need the key in order to use the Battery.
You need the key, which is in a closet in the lab in the Production Zone (far right). Get the mallet from Sully's and the beaker from the museum before you go there. (see the related question)
You have to have the steam battery and the key (jump on the robot crab that is in front of the Living Quarters). Adjust the path of the steam so that it loses pressure, or -5 (10 on the input side, 5 on the output side).
Get the steam battery from the trash next to the Clockwork Cantina. Once you have the keys for a terminal, you can use the steam battery to operate the door or control. The steam terminals are located at: -- Sully's door (get the key by jumping on the robot crab, at the living quarters farther left) -- The Drawbridge to the production zone (key is in Captain's quarters atop the Hub) -- The Living Quarters (key is in a janitor's closet in the Production Zone research lab)
Both of them are left of Main Street (Cantina and Museum). But to open the doors, you need the Steam Battery from the trash at the Cantina, and you need a separate Key for each of the doors, and to lower the large bridge at the Hub. Sully's key is inside the Robot Crab at the Living Quarters. But the Living Quarters key is far across the bridge in the Greenhouse (Production zone). Getting to it is more than half the quest. (see the two related questions)

you have to get the bridge key first and go to the production zone mix the herbicide 3bleu 2 green and 4 red put it on the plant and it will die then you get the key from the room behind it once you get the key go to the top floor and use the mallet to break the glass and get out
