The Living Quarters key is in a closet near the top of the Greenhouse in the Research Laboratory (Production Zone, far right of the island).

*Be sure you have the Rubber Mallet from Sully's, and the Dirty Beaker from the Museum before going there.

Use the Drawbridge Key to cross right from the Hub to the Botanical Research Laboratory.

  1. Bounce up to the Wrecking Ball control. Push all three levers down and press the green button. It will smash a hole in the weakened conduit below.
  2. Go right and enter the engine room. Press the three red pressure pads on each side, three for each of the "toaster switches". Have Sprocket press on one switch while you stand on the other. This will power the circling step plates above.
  3. Climb to the one on the right, ride it up and jump right to the platform. Go up and cross above until you can jump down on the left plate, then to the stationary ones. (It is possible, but difficult, to cross by jumping to the two sides of each plate as it turns.)
  4. At the far left, push the single switch to start the riser and go to the next level. Cross to far right and climb the vine to the conveyor belt. You will have to cross under the falling blobs. Use the vines to reach the left belt and the Mech Steam Motor. Go up the vine.
  5. Cross the lab to the left and enter the chemical storage. Use the empty beaker to mix a Herbicide. The graduations on the beaker let you mix exactly 3 parts blue, 2 green, and 4 red, as indicated on the wall chart.
  6. The carnivorous plant is just above. Go up the vine and use the herbicide on it.
  7. Enter the Maintenance Closet and get the Steam Battery Key (for the Living Quarters), and leave after the robot guard starts the alarm. Climb to the upper left and use the Rubber Mallet to break the dome glass to escape.

go inside the the nail place then go up, after you will see the robot shocked then there's a plant monster that throws blobs at you. to beat him you need to get past the blobs then there will be a door that says maintenance door. go

inside and you will see a dead robot which is holding a key collect that and there will be a siren quickly get out of there and go up then smash the crack with the rubber mallet and then your done

If you have the rubber mallet from the trash pile at Sully's Paraphernalia, you can exit the production zone lab at the top window. At the upper left, look for a crack that you can use the mallet on.

If you don't have the mallet, you have no way out -- the hose will keep you from going back down. Put the key back where you found it and the alarm will stop. Unfortunately, you will have to go all the way back to Sully's for the mallet before you can get the key.
