As a long time transmission rebuilder here is my advice. If your talking about the metal clad seal that seals the filter neck to the pump you have two chioces. First reuse the one already installed unless it is torn. The only reason the new seal is included with a filter kit is due to an early change for that model transmission from one style seal that leaked to the metal clad one. The other choice is to use a small chisel and hammer and try not to screw up the pump and beat it up until you can get something on it to pull it out. My advice reuse the one already installed.

That is a 4L60E / 4L65E
YES
That would be the 4L60E / 4L65E transmission.
too much
It is inside of the fuel tank.
type of fluid for 5 speed manual transmission
GM. moved the fuel filter to inside the gas tank in 2004
The intake temperature sensor is located on the side of the air filter case on a 2003 Chevy Silverado 4.3 1500. It is on the top of the engine.
If it is an automatic transmission, Dexron III or Mercon are both acceptable.
That would be the 4L60E. The 4L80E transmissions are in the 3/4 tons.
It does not have 1. It is all computer controlled.
