First, remove the seat. Then remove the front and rear gas tank mounting bolts. Lift the tank up and slide it back. Remove the plastic stock covers and figure out proper placement of the left and right covers. Tab on the new covers should point towards the tank. Only one mounting bolt is used on each side. These bolts are alsmost covered by the gas tank. Loosen them and remover the cover parts, now there is access to the radiator cap. You can use some tape to hold the pieces in position while you assemble and dissasemble them to hold them in place.
