Smartrak is a awd system and can't be turned on and off. The computer senses slipage and engages the front axle as need for awd.
Yes. The new struts will throw off the camber; thus requiring an adjustment.
no the struts don't need to come off but make sure you have a way to compress the springs when you go to put it back together. when i say no they don't need to come off i mean completely off but the bottom needs to disconnect from the spindle.
I have an 2003 Bravada and there is no way to turn the air bags off You CANNOT turn the air bag system off. You may be able to turn the passenger air bag off. Check with a GM dealer or the owner's manual.
is there a fuel cut off switch in an oldsmobile bravada
best results are to replace the air struts with conventional macferson struts.use Taurus struts of the same year, front struts are straightforward, however the rears my need one hole drilled to access the difference in the bolt pattern of the upper strut mount.
you have to take bar off between the front suspension struts
It is located on the passenger side of the engine, near the front of the engine. Above the lower control arm. I had to reach around the suspension with one arm and up through the suspension with the other to get it off. Also it takes 7 quarts of Oil..
You need a special strut spring compression tool. Very very difficult to do it by yourself, unless you have this tool. Getting the struts off is not too hard, putting the new strut in is the hard part.
there is a rocker switch on the outside edge of the seat near the front, up is high, down is low, middle is off.
It is probably a good idea to get an alignment after doing any kind of work on the front end. If you have struts on the rear and take them off it is not as big a deal but, an alignment is a lot cheaper than replacing tires that wear prematurely because they are not properly aligned.
if you mean the 4wd smart track the only way is to remove 4wd fuse under driverside rear passenger seat .
