Without knowing Make Model Year CC & fuel type, this is impossible to answer.
Give more info., did previous timing belt fail?
The timing belt cover should be right behind the water pump .. So remove the water pump then remove the timing belt cover then remove the timing belt then do all them steps backwards
If you are aking about the timing marks on the belt/chain. Then yes.If you are aking about the timing marks on the belt/chain. Then yes.
The timing marks are on the timing belt cover on the front of the engine right above the crankshaft pulley.
You don't "set" a timing belt. There is no adjustment, either it's right or it's not. You change a timing belt at whatever interval Subaru recommends for your Forester. --Ken
The timing is computer controlled, there is no adjustments. I know this is a little late, but timing could be off because the timing belt is not properly aligned. If the timing belt is installed incorrectly the timing will never be right.
It does not have a timing belt. It has a timing chain. It does not have a timing belt. It has a timing chain.
timing belt. yep, he is right
I need to set the timing belt in my car for a Dodge Stratus 1998, that has a 2.5 motor V6.I do have the timing belt already on the car, but it not on the right setting. Please someone help me with this question about setting the timing belt.
What motor is it? if its the 4g63,4g63-t its on the right side behind the timing belt covers, if its the 4g73 sohc its on the right as well ( i believe, might be on the left) behind the timing belt cover. There is an upper and lower cover for timing belts. You cannot see the belt without taking covers off,You should be able to take the upper off to inspect the belt from the cam side.
for the cam gears its right on the upper timing belt cover plate, and for the crank, theres a mark on the crank collar
Get a manual on your car to do the job right. In short, you have to pull the timing belt covers and timing belt. Get a manual.
