What motor is it? if its the 4g63,4g63-t its on the right side behind the timing belt covers, if its the 4g73 sohc its on the right as well ( i believe,might be on the left) behind the timing belt cover. There is an upper and lower cover for timing belts. You cannot see the belt without taking covers off,You should be able to take the upper off to inspect the belt from the cam side.

the timing mark is on the pullie itself its a small notch .... to get to your timing belt you have to remove the belts, motor mount, and the pullies, then remove the plastic cover then you can access your timing belt .... it looks worse than it really it
