They are both right the rubber mallet is the best option however with the 2002 Elantra I had to work on, as with all the cars I work on, the wheel can be loosened with a swift kick or two just don't knock it off the jack and hit the tred not the rim or sidewall it may sound funny but it's worked repeatedly for me I had this happen on my 2001 Hyundai Elantra GLS twice, once on the highway with my Right rear tire and once in a parking lot. What I did was loosen the lug nuts so that the rim will come off if you drive it but not so much that the rim could fall off immediately, and then I drove it forward. If you can, make a lot of sharp turns. I didn't have a rubber mallet. After a while of driving and checking, it loosened up enough so I could get it off. Note That This Is Not The Safest Way To Do This! The rubber mallet is preferable! But if you don't have one and you have to change the tire this may work. i had this happen on my 94 take a large rubber mallet as to not bend the rim and hit the rim where the tire is seated keep tring this in diffrent spots until it comes off

Can the oil in a 2008 Hyundai Elantra be removed by suction through the dip stick?

Hi, I have seen a device on the skymall catalog on the airlines. I have thought about buying it, however it costs 60.00. Still if it works as advertised you still have to change the oil filter as well. An oil change is cheap anyway.

How to reduce the slip in an automatic transmission 1.6 l 2005 Hyundai Elantra?

A 2005 Hyundai Elantra with less than 100,000 miles is still eligible for coverage under the manufacturer's warranty. Transmission slip could be any number of things, but the cheapest fix is to ensure the proper transmission fluid is being used. If the recommended fluid is being used, then the best solution is to take it to the dealership and request a warranty repair.

On a 96 Cadillac deville 4.6 with a northstar engine the water pump wont budge you have the special tool it just wont budge what should you do?

I have a 99 cadillac Eldorado. Am using the heavy duty water pump removal tool trying to turn it in the clockwise direction. Will not budge. Using a breaker bar with a 4 ft galvanized pipe as a cheater bar. Had to make two 8 inch long wooden dowels to wedge between the tool and the side of the engine compartment to keep the tool on. Still will not budge. Sprayed some liquid wrench on the tabs and will let it set overnight. If it still does not budge I will use a torch to heat it. Any comments?

How do you remove the arm rests on captain seats in a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Once the bolt under the plastic cap is removed, the arm rests still do not come off. They move easily up and down but outside of taking a crowbar to pry them off, they won't budge. Thanks.
