you will need to supply fluid to where the filter goes via tube/hose/bucket of fluid. it will suck it up and run back out. all I can say is why???

in the transmission, you have to drop the pan .

physically it will fit but the wire harness and computer are not compatible.

They are inside of the transmission, Remove the trans. pan off the bottom of the transmission. And you will see them.

The same thing happened to my dads 96 Chevy S-10. The transmission was rusted not allowing it to shift. I would have the transmission checked out.
