Check the connection between the cable and the shift bracket attached to the transmission. You need to look underneath the truck to find it. The bolt rusts off, and the cable becomes diconnected from the transmission.

Turbo lagging. Remove Inlet tube and check that it spins exceptionally freely, and also check that the wastegate and linkage moves freely.
It sounds like the transmission shifter linkage is disconnected.
To fix the front wiper linkage on a 1991 Nissan 240SX, start by removing the wiper arms and the plastic cover under the windshield to access the linkage. Inspect the linkage for any broken or disconnected parts; if necessary, replace the damaged components. Once repaired, reassemble the linkage, ensuring it moves freely, and reattach the wiper arms and plastic cover. Finally, test the wipers to confirm they operate smoothly.
Does the shifter just move freely like it's not hook up ? If so then climb up under the truck and look up at the floor board where the shift rod is and see if it poped off and out of the grommet that holds it in place, If so replace bushing and grommet. also make sure the rod didn't pop off the transfur cas linkage.
A shift lever may move freely without engaging the gears due to a few potential issues. One common reason is a malfunction in the transmission, such as a broken or disconnected shift cable. Additionally, low transmission fluid levels or internal damage can prevent the lever from properly engaging the gears. Lastly, issues with the shift linkage or a worn-out component can also contribute to this problem.
i would look under neath at the transmition and see if the linkage is broke
Your front bike wheel may not be spinning freely due to issues such as a misaligned wheel, brake rubbing against the wheel, or a problem with the bearings. Check these areas to identify and fix the problem.

To adjust the automatic transmission linkage on a 1991 Mazda MX-6, first, ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. Locate the linkage adjustment screw on the transmission, then shift the gear selector to the "Neutral" position. Loosen the adjustment screw slightly, then move the gear selector through all positions while ensuring the linkage moves freely before retightening the screw. Finally, check the gear operation to ensure proper adjustment.
If your 88 Dodge Colt Vista's manual transmission is stuck in 4th or 5th gear while the shift lever moves freely, it may indicate a problem with the clutch not disengaging properly, possibly due to low fluid levels or a faulty clutch master or slave cylinder. Alternatively, it could be an issue with the transmission linkage or internal components, such as a worn synchronizer or shift fork. Inspect the clutch system for leaks and ensure proper fluid levels, and consider checking the transmission linkage for any obstructions or damage. If the problem persists, consulting a mechanic for a thorough diagnosis would be advisable.
