My version:

After defeating Cyrus at Mount Coronet, Giratina is next.Cynthia will heal your Pokemon and then you are ready to face this legendary.If you have a Pokemon

that learns foresight or odor sleuth, make sure they have that move and the move false swipe.Save before you battle this beast.When you get Giratina's health to the red zone, most of it's strong attacks will be out of PP(power points).So then send out the Pokemon with false swipe. Use odor sleuth or foresight and then use false swipe. Use it multiple times if necessary.Then throw a bunch of dusk balls.If you happen to run out or there have been ALOT of turns in the battle use timer balls.Remember this though, if it has to use Struggle, it will kill itself.So make sure you catch it before it can use it.The maximum turns there can be is 30.If you hit the 25 mark,I would recomend restarting the battle.

P.S.After you catch it, it will look different will permanately change Forme.After beating the Elite Four, go to Turnback Cave(go south from veilstone, then when you see a clearing, go east).Finish solving the puzzle(I recommend going to YouTube or searching it up on wikianswers) and then you get the Griseous Orb.Let Giratina hold the Orb and he will change Forme.His new Ability will be Levatate, so he will match up nicely with ground types.His Defense and Special Defense will go down a bit, but his Attack and Special Attack go up a decent amount.
