There are several modes of transport which can be taken between Heathrow and Gatwick:

National Express operate up to six services an hour between the two airports, with a journey time of around 75 minutes. Tickets are £25 for an adult and can be purchased online, National Express ticket desks at the airport or from the coach driver.

There are no direct trains between the two airports, therefore to make the journey by train, you would have to change trains in central London. As there are several option, the journey time is between 70 and 90 minutes. The price is roughly between £15 and £45.

Also, taxis/chauffeurs can be taken which take around an hour. The cost is around £60 for a taxi and from £80 for a chauffeur.

You can either take a National Express coach (bus) (cheapest) or take a train. Either way you will probably have to change in London although there are SOME direct coaches from Gatwick to Birmingham.

There is no direct train route between the two airports. You could take the underground (tube) from Heathrow to Canning Town and change onto the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) to London City Airport Station.
