How do you get to level 9 in world 7 on New Super Mario Bros DS?

fist u must unlock luigi . then u must get a starman in your item box then go beat bowser for the last time without using your star or pressing the switch ( to do this u must use bowser jr's shells to kill bowser then kill bowser jr.) right befor u press the switch u must use your star . u will see a pipe come up and bowser jr will jump out of the pit , grab the princess , and escape through the pipe you will go down the pipe and you will be in world 9 the star level

a friend of mine told me that to get world 9 on Mario for nitendo ds, is to unlock all the mushrooms that you have to pay 5 Large coins.. you then have to defeat the boss' on the last level of world eight, dont know if its true but try anyway...:-)

You have to find all the star coins in all the levels, and beat worlds 1-8 including Bowsers Castle. Then world 9 opens. Then you have to find all the star coins in world 9 to beat the game. Assuming you are talking about Super Mario Bros for Wii.
