Go through and there it is. It took me a lot of goes but I've done it. It is easier with mini Mario. Here is how you get mini Mario: On w3-a there is a ? with a mini Mario in. Just get that and then complete it and you have mini Mario.

I think it has something to do with level 1-3. See those pipes that lay flat on the ground? You can run through some of them with a mini shroom. Some of them also have a mini pipe in it, but I still haven't figured it out completely.
