from megaton, go straight east until u reach the river. follow it until u find a bridge. cross it, and go left or right and ur in downtown. to get to the monuments and stuff you'll need to find a metro tunnel.
As you leave Vernon Square North Metro Station you will see Vault Tech HQ on the left, walk about 50 yards along the street to the front door. It has lots of Super Mutants and Bots inside to keep you on your toes. To get to Vernon Sq Nth you need to find your way through the underground from any Vernon Metro entrance, they are all just North of Our Lady of Hope Hospital and The Statesman Hotel.
There should be a Door on the building that is labled, Jefferson memorial Gift shop or something like that. If you have reached the part were you encountered the enclave, then you cannot enter again until the end.
You can't. The Chinese blew it up when we were still at war with them. The closest thing to the White House is we one goes through the Presidential Metro. But you can't get into the Presidential Metro without purchasing the Broken Steel download first.
It's in the DC Area, if you come out of The Museum of History doors, keep walking until you reach the street where you would turn to go into the subway, but instead of doing that, turn to your right and you will see The Washington Monument walk towards it but stay to the right of it and keep walking and if you keep walking you should see it. If you never saw it yet then there are going to be slavers held up there. The one named Silas will tell you to follow him to talk to Leroy Walker who is the boss in that spot. Those slavers there are part of the Head of State quest.
The Republic of Dave is located in the far north east corner of the map. When you get there, you need the Child at Heart perk, a high speech level or caps to get in.
there is a door in a subway somewhere.

It depends on which time you are there. The first time (which is my guess) you need to make your way to the Rotunda and you will eventually find a set of notes from James, where you need to read through them to discover where he went.
Heh. You had that problem too, Huh?. Lyons is blocking the way. Just run up to her and keep running to push her out of the way. there shold be a control panel there.
The Jefferson Memorial was built to honor Thomas Jefferson.
