New pressure balance faucet or you can install a pressure balance valve in the water lines behind tub or if you have a crawl space you can install it on the water lines there. But install only too the lines to tub faucet. And they are not easy no matter where you install. I would just tell everyone not to use any water till you are done with shower.
When water is diverted from tub faucet to shower faucet it leaks behind wall?
You have a leak between the diverter and showerhead or the arm for the showerhead is not sealed properly into the fitting in the wall

Proably the faucet has a worn out washer, replacing the washer should fix the problem.

If the faucet contains the re-direction valve (closes off the water from the faucet and redirects the water to the shower head) you need to rotate the faucet counter clock wise to unscrew it from the plumbing and replace it with a new one. Take the old one to your local box store and they can match it up for you.
