How do you get up if the inferi in the Harry Potter game surround you?

In HP and the HBP, you must kill the Inferi as they come out of the water. If you let them surround you, you will have to replay the scenario over and over. A good strategy is to stand close to the middle of the area you are allowed. Your spells will automatically be directed at the closest inferi. Watch out on the waves for Inferi who climb faster than the rest. They must be destroyed before they touch you.
