The Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone video game was released for several platforms and each one has a different storyline. The above video contains a walkthrough for the PC which will show you how to get all of the potion ingredients. Walkthroughs for other platforms can also be found on YouTube.
If you are talking about in the movies, they weren't put in. Like many other things, such as all the ghosts, creatures, and Peeves, they require computer animation.
However, there are more important things in the films that acquire attention over the statues, so they aren't put in.
There's a chance that they will appear in the 7th movie but I'm not sure about that yet.
Answer:In the Order of the Phoenix Book - there are two stone gargoyles either side of the staff-room door - they both talk......Page 318 UK editionThere is also a gargoyle guarding the entrance to the Headmasters study. After the battle of Hogwarts (Deathly Hallows book) Harry finds it .. (quote) knocked aside: it stood lop-sided looking a little punch-drunk and Harry wondered whether it would be able to distinguish passwords anymore. 'Can we go up?' he asked the gargoyle. 'Feel free' groaned the statue (end quote).....Page 598 UK edition
In the Order of the Phoenix game, there are gargoyles at the entrance of the Entrance Bridge, in the Transfiguration Courtyard, on the outside deck next to the Hospital Wing, in the Stone Courtyard upper level and half way up the stairs to the Divination Tower
Go to the library and enter the restricted section. Go to the very back and look to the left with your back to the gate that you entered from. Press X and there should be a scene when Harry says "The properties of Moonstone".

As the troll makes stuff rain down from the broken bits of the bathroom, repair it and leviosa it towards the troll. Eventually he will drop his club. Leviosa it above his head and drop it (remember the movie?). You might need several attempts to drop it so that it hits him right on his head.

There are several excellent online Harry Potter Games.
First, you need to decide what type of game you like. There are two major types: browser-based games, and flash or javascript based games.
Browser-based games often have forums, with accompanying interactive features. The forums may be the primary focus or a supplemental focus.
For example, at Hex RPG you can trade items/cast spells/etc., but the quality of discussion in the forums is pretty minimal.
Lumos Alliance offers a middle ground -- there are some good role playing forums, along with a full assortment of interactive features (potions, spell casting, items, dueling, quests, etc.)
Hogwarts Live is a more dungeon-style browser-based game, with almost no discussion.
If you don't want a "browser based" game where you navigate between pages and do things using HTML forms, then you can play flash or java/script games in the browser. lumosalliance.com has some of these (charm practice, wizard chess, and a berty bots game), but the definitive source for flash games is mugglenet.com. They have tones of platform-type flash games based on Harry Potter
Harry Potter video games are available both online and in brick and mortar stores. Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop all have good prices on the titles, as well as a nice selection for consumers to choose from.
