The way to change a WMM (Windows Movie Maker) project into another format (file name extension) is by Publishing/Finishing the movie/video. Read the following:
** A WMM project is still in "unfinished" form(.MSWMM)and can only be viewed/edited in Windows Movie Maker.
** A PUBLISHED/FINISHED WMM video is the "finalized" format.
Before you can view your WMM (Windows Movie Maker) project on a media player, send it by email, or upload it anywhere, you first need to PUBLISH/FINISH the WMM project. This finalizes the project by means of "mixing down" audio/video properties.
Note: The videos file name extension (or Properties) will automatically be changed to the .wmv (for computer playback) or other extension depending on the saving option.
To Publish/Finish your WMM project:
> With your project in the time-line view of WMM
> Click on View and Tasks, to open the task pane
> Under Publish to ---- (Windows Vista v2.6)
> Under Finish Movie (Windows Xp v2.1)
> Choose - This computer
> Name the movie and select a destination to save it in ---
(Choose/make a folder to save it in that you can access easily)
> Click Next
> Select option: Best quality for playback on my computer (recommended)
> Click Publish or Finish (depending on your WMM version)
When the video is published/finished, you should be able to find it in the folder you saved it in. Click on it and it should open up in the media player you use.
You need to convert Quicktime videos to a format compatible with Windows Movie Maker.
They have to be in the correct format to use in Windows Movie Maker. YuoTube videos will need to be converted to use in the program because they are likely not in a compatible format. Some are, but most aren't.
Windows Movie Maker projects must be Published/Finished before they are converted to a Standard format used by YouTube.
I haven't used windows movie maker before. I kind of knowing it doesn't support mov format as import content. So you'd better converting the format into the contents that supported by windows movie maker, and edit it. Or you may try MPEG Video Wizard DVD to edit you mov videos, it accepts mov format as import content as well as output content.
Yes, you can upload Windows Movie Maker videos onto YouTube provided you have exported (Finished/Published) the video in Standard Viewing format first.
A Windows Movie Maker project file is in .MSWMMformat.
No. You can't use Windows DVD Maker to upload videos with. But you can upload videos to YouTube using Windows Live Movie Maker.
I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. If I am not remiss, you are wondering if Windows Movie Maker uses any other format other than .wmv? If so, the program only exports, publishes/finishes videos in the .wmv format. If you want the file in another format, you will need to convert it.
You have to make sure the file is Published or Finished in Windows Movie Maker first. It has to be in standard viewing format to use outside of the program. Once it is in standard viewing format you can post it on Blogger, YouTube or wherever you like.
You have to convert the Flip videos to a file name extension (format) compatible with Windows Movie Maker (or Windows Live Movie Maker):.asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv
There are several ways you can share your Windows Movie Maker videos with others. I suggest watching the video tutorial at the URL posted below:http://sclipo.com/videos/view/share-anywhere-easily-with-windows-movie-maker-2
You can't do that in Windows Movie Maker, Live Movie Maker or any other version.
