How do you get water out from under a cell phone screen?

Don't ask how, but I had to fish my wife's phone out of the toilet. Leave it open in front of a space heater with the battery disconnected for 24 hours. DO NOT attempt to reconnect the battery or power up the phone for at least that long.

I will give you the following steps to try: 1. Remove your phone from water as fast as possible 2. Dry off quickly, with towel or clothing 3. Remove cover (if you have one) and battery 4. Put in bowl of uncooked rice for 20 minutes 5. Blow dry the whole phone on COOL, NOT HOT. Make sure to get openings and charger area. Do for 15 minutes 6. Do the same for the battery, only for 10 minutes 7. Put back into bowl of rice for 5 minutes 8. Try turning it on

My aunts daughters would drop her cell phone in the toilet, and she just put it outside in her porch were the sun would hit it. The cell phone still worked well hers idk about yours. It eventually dries and works perfectly.

You can submerge your phone in uncooked rice, letting the rice absorb the water, or you can try blowdrying the phone. These methods may or may not work, depending on how damaged your phone already is from the water.

Once water get inside the touch screen of a phone there isn't much you can do about it without having the water traveling somewhere else in the phone. My suggestion is to shut the phone down, don't move the phone around and let it dry up, hoping that the phone will not have water damage.
