How Do You Avoid Your Boyfriends Ex Girlfriend? Try to get him/her hooked onto another person, or pretend you are always busy. If you are confident enough in yourself and trust your boyfriend then just deal with the fact you will bump into his ex girlfriend on and off. The best way to handle this is smile at her and keep walking, but always be pleasant and don't try so hard to keep out of her way. Let her know you are confident in who 'you' are and if your boyfriend should decide to go back to his ex then it's his loss and your gain. People need a relationship with a partner they can trust

I talk to one or another of my ex-girls every day. Just because we are not dating does not mean we are not friends, and I would consider a demand that I stop as unreasonable.

∙ 13y agoI don't know the full story, but I don't think it's particularly wise to put yourself into a situation in which you could be caught in the crossfire between your boyfriend and his ex. It's your boyfriend's and his ex's business, let them take care of it.
If you really must do something, tell your boyfriend that you don't feel comfortable by having his ex interact with him in the way that she does.
