You really can't do that, at least there is no guarantee. Think about it this way. Has he tried to get you to like his kind of music? What keeps you from liking it? There is a very old saying: "there is no arguing taste", or "There is no accounting for taste". It comes from the Latin "de gustibus non disputandum est", and it may even be older than ancient Rome.

But what you can do is to ask your dad to share one of his favorite songs or pieces of music with you, and listen with kindness and acceptance as he explains why he likes it. And I don't mean listen for 15 seconds and then start a tirade about how awful it is. You don't have to like it, but being kind and respectful will impress him a lot. Then ask if it would be ok for you to share a favorite of yours, and explain why you like it. See what happens.
