You have to sync your iPod into your computer ( comes with computer charger ). You'll need iTunes and it will ask to sync ( you click yes ) and it will sync. If you get a new app or song, or whatever onto your iPod; sync it so you don't loose it. You can download iTunes from the Apple website. You'll also need a iTunes/iCloud account

if you have downloaded the itunes back. you have convert the itunes to the format ipod nano supported.

All apps are stored on iTunes as well just like music, so if you get a new iPod all the stuff on iTunes will be synced to it, including the apps
