Clean the cage regularly. If you have a boy mouse you need to change it at least twice a week. They have a stronger smell. Supposedly the more often you change a boys cage the stronger the smell gets but I'm not so sure about that. You can't very well leave it dirty. Spray the mouse with water from time to time so it is forced to clean itself. Mice are obsessed with cleaning themselves usually but spraying them if they stink will help.
