Trust points can be given by clicking on recommend contributor next to the contributor's username, which can be found either on the contributor's contributions page or on any Q&A page where that contributor was the last to answer.
Contributors are notified by email when they are recommended. This email does not include the name of the person who recommended them, preserving their privacy.
You can always thank someone directly by posting a message on their message board. Just visit their profile page and click Message user.

To give other users trust points on WikiAnswers, you just have to search for a question that they have recently answered, and scroll down to underneath the answer. It should say "Last edited by: ExampleUser" and, next to it, "Recommend Contributor". All you have to do is click on that and you have given them a trust point. Please give everyone that has given you a good answer a Trust Point to let them know they were a help. You can also recommend a contributor through their profile.

All it depends on is how many people look at the answer in all of your Q:'s that you answerd and if they think that they trust it they might give you a trust point. For example if a person answers a Q: then there are like 100 people looking at that Q: and they trust you you might get like 100 Trust Points from each person that trusted you.
