Morphine can be injected intravenously or taken in pill form. I am not familiar with how morphine may be taken when on wants to dose illegally, but in the hospital this is how we administer it. There are also some opiates that can be inserted rectally, for home administration when the oral form cannot be tolerated and IV access is not available
There are oral pills (that you take by mouth), Suppositories (pills that go up your rectum, usually used if patient is in alot of pain and cannot swallow it), slow release patches, and through an IV.
Every one of these methods has it's own mg and strength, so don't think that just because you have good relief/feel good with however many mg's of an oral dose you take (say 60mg of an oral dose) that you'll feel the same with an IV dose, since the IV is MUCH more concentrated and that dose can severely damage alot of different things.
Morphine is a prescription pain medicine used for extreme pain. Morphine can be taken orally, through a patch, a stomach pump, or by injecting into the veins.
By taking it and getting hooked on the short term euphoria then going back for more, eventually building tolerance to it and a dependensy physicly and mentally
you inject it like heroin. you should know what i mean :D
why do morphine give me dry mouth
Do the doctor's give you morphine while in labor
The reversal agent for all opiates, including morphine is naloxone.
Yes
Do not try to do this.
Morphine.
Diamorphine is not actually stronger than morphine per se, but it does act a lot quicker than morphine. Diamorphine is converted into morphine in the body and although diamorphine and morphine are almost identical, doses of them are not therapeutically equivalent. For example, 30mg of diamorphine is the same as 45mg of morphine. So maybe diamorphine can be thought of as being stronger than morphine, as it takes 1/3 less to give the same effect. Also the quicker onset of diamorphine can give the impression of it being stronger.
To treat morphine toxicity, we give Naloxone. To treat morphine addiction, we give methadone (because it has less withdrawal manifestation and less addiction producing property)
Yes it can. Codeine is a big part of opiates. Yes, Codeine breaks down into morphine. The opiate drug tests look for codeine, morphine, and 6-acetyl-morphine.
No its stronger than 2 vicodin they give the morphine to ppl with cancer and agonizing pain.
