Go to:

START>PRINTERS & FAXES> (or START>SETTINGS>PRINTERS & FAXES) Then find the printer you want to share and right click on the icon. Scroll down and select "Properties". When the properties window opens select the "Share" tab. Fill in the information.

Suppos you want to stop somer people on the network from using a shared printer but you still want the printer to be available to the local computer to which it's connected What is the easiest way to?

Currently the printer is set up as shared. Its a lot of steps to explain but type in the word "shared" or "shared printer" into the Windows help file and it will explain how to take it off shared. If the printer is hooked up to your computer then you will be able to use it, but everyone else will no longer be able to print from it.l
