In order to grow any hair the body itself has to be healthy. A good combination of moisture and protein is needed to produce long silky hair. African Americans need oils and/ or grease on scalp. Lightly on ends to keep the hair conditioned. A 6 weeks light trim is recommended. Always use a leave in conditioner after the weekly shampoo and conditioning. Fb me divanesha718@Yahoo.com

It has to be African American to start with.
It does not grow out your hair. It just protects it and helps retain length.
Trimming anyone hair will will cause it to grow. When you trim African American hair you take of the dead ends and make the hair more healthy which encourages growth.

It varies with ethnicity. People of African decent tend to take longer to grow hair, whereas those of European decent grow much faster. Dreadlocks for African-decent people grow faster than their natural, unlocked hair. For those not of African decent, a little more than your average growth.
African American hair grows as fast or slow as anyone else's does. I've seen some black people's hair grow more than an inch a month, and other's grow less than 1/4th inch a month (within the same family too). Hair growth for everyone is on a case by case basis. There is not an all encompassing number.
It depends if you have the silky straight hair then no. But the kinkier and thicker it is then probably.
