there is one way to use the mystery gift in there, you need to get a Nincada and wait until it learns dig, or get it by talking to the fossil maniacs brother in Fallabor town, then go and speak to prof birch and get your Pokedex rated, (it wont work if you call him on the pokenav) oh yes, you'll need to have won the Pokemon league as well. go to the cave and use dig on the edge of that big sandy patch on the left (Although it doesn't matter which edge). This will only work with Nincada.
AnswerYou need a wireless adapter plugged in, and somebody who has the mystery event on Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire. To get it, go to the Pokemon centre in Petalburg, and near the PC is a man. Speak to him, and he will ask you something. Input MYSTERY EVENT IS EXCITING. After that, save the game. On Emerald, go to the altering cave and save the game, then hold down SELECT, START, A and B* at the same time, then go to Mystery Gift when it appears, and you will get the Eon Ticket, and a call from Professor Birch saying well done, you can now go to-... and then he gets cut off. The screen will flash and you're there.(Mrpieguy said the stuff above.)
*This is a soft reset, which starts the game back to the main menu or opening credits, in which this case it is the same thing as turning the Gameboy off and back on. Most people use it to save time.
