You can hint to someone that u like them by doing little things to show you care, also you can start a tiny bit o flirting maybe when your talking to him about something you flip or twist your hair or purse your lips. Always be there for them, glance at them allot, ask them if they like anyone, and joke around with them. If they don't catch a clue sit them down and look strait into Thier eyes and have a deep conversation with them or tell them how u feel.

You can make jokes about it, ask if he loves you in a joke kind of way, have one of your friends ask him if he likes you, tell his friend that you like him, try to talk to him a lot, stare at him (not a creepy stare though), try to make him smile or laugh, usually they will ask you if they think you like them, if you have a cell phone: ask for his number and call or text him a lot more than usual, so try a few, and I'm sorry if this did not help. Have you seen the other questions on here from boys that say things like "How do you know a girl likes you?" Or "Does this girl like me or not?". If you want to hint that you like someone, all you're likely to do is confuse them by potentially sending mixed signals. At your age boys aren't the best at picking up on signals and girls aren't the best at sending them (and visa versa of course).

There's absolutely no harm in telling him out straight.
