Pull the butt of the stock firmly into the pocket of your shoulder. If the butt is free to move, when the gun fires, it will be moving at speed when it hits (and hurts) your shoulder. However, when it is pulled snugly against your shoulder, it will push, but not hit.
When you fire a rifle, the recoil kick is introducing you to Newton's Third Law.If you you don't hold the rifle properly to absorb the recoil in your whole body, the recoil will leave a nasty bruise mark; (mv) recoil = (mv) bullet. You want to minimize the recoil velocity by maximizing the recoil mass=your rifle + your body. Getting the [proper stance and grip will raise the recoil mass the reduce the impact on your body.
There may be recoil from the hose.
It is used to hold the gun. In the case of a rifle or shotgun, it helps conntrol recoil by transferring much of the push of firing to the body.
When firing a high powered rifle or a shotgun there can be a very powerful recoil. If the rifle is not held tight to the body it can slam into the body, both giving a good bruise and lowering the accuracy of the shot.
a least 1,530 degrees

hold the rifle pressed against your shoulder tightly, but not to tight. you don't want the recoil to injure you, but you also don't want to mess up your aim with every tiny motion. hold it firmly and kind of let it float if you understand what I'm saying.
The Winchester model 1892 rifle in .357 cal. which was started in 2011 will hold 10 rounds of .357 mag.The earlier version made in 1997-1998 should hold the same amount.
The amount it can hold is its volume.
