Most models have a pressure port on the drivers side above the linkage. A 1/8" sender can be placed there.
Another option is to utilize the built in electronics and buy one of the devices that plug into your ODBII connection under the dash.
The temperature gauge should be connected to the transmission temperature sensor. The transmission temperature sensor is located on the right-hand side of the transmission.
NO. The transmission wiring harness on the 1500 will NOT hook up to the 4L80E transmission and the COMPUTER / ECM will not operate the 4L80E. The 1500 MUST have the 4L60E put in it.
It needs the 4L80E transmission put back in it so the computer can do what it is supposed to do and the wiring harness will hook up to the transmission correctly.
Your oil temperature gauge will connect to the oil pressure sensor. The water temperature gauge will hook up to the water temperature sensor. The oil pressure sensor will be on the left-hand side of the engine and the water temperature sensor will be on the front of the engine.
No you can not. The 98 computer is not programed to shift the 89 transmission. Besides that your wiring harness on the 98 will not hook up to the 89 trans. You need to go back with the factory 4L80E trans. That belongs in the 98.
Create a sharp coat hanger to use it in pressing through the rubber where the electrical goes. ÊPassÊthe temperature gauge through the fire wall. Wrap the end of the gauge in a electrical tape. Install the temperature gauge adapter.
The most effective location for a water temperature gauge on a vehicle is on the head or the side of the block. Generally, water temperature gauges are more accurate and fit better in these locations.
The 92 has a 4L60E transmission in it because it is a 1/2 ton. the 97 has a 4L80E in it because it is a 3/4 ton. the computor system / ECM and the wiring harness for the 3/4 tons will NOT interchange / operate the 4L60E transmissions and it will not even hook up.
it is either a temperature sensor just for the gauge or possibly a fuse, i recommend going to your local auto parts store and have them hook up their diagnostic computer to tell you the problem. its usually free!
No
The fuel level gauge is in the tank
Hi i have a 1994 xr2. the speedo cable goes straight into the cluster gauge from the tranny.
