What you need to do depends on the vehicle you'll be working on, the LOC you choose, and the aftermarket equipment you wish to integrate. Pick an LOC and follow the instructions provided with it for a start.
Instead of simply plugging in the RCAs for your amplifier(s) directly to the head unit as you would with an aftermarket piece, you'll plug them into the LOC instead. You'll usually tap a high level (speaker output) audio signal for the LOC to convert to low level (pre-amp output) so your aftermarket amplifier(s) won't be overloaded with too much signal, though some amplifiers come with a molex plug meant to accept a high level signal directly from a stock piece...you haven't mentioned what equipment we are talking about or whether the Pontiac has a factory amplified "premium sound" system. If the vehicle you'll be working on has a factory amplifier, you may be able to tap your signal ahead of the amp. For front/rear speaker amps you'll need to tap a full range signal, and for subwoofer amps you can do the same or tap a low frequency signal meant for a factory sub system if so equipped.
No, you can't. It does not have such cable at all.
color code fro radio hook up
Buy a new radio and install it
All you need is an adaptor
Did you cut factory plug for radio hook up?
Buy one and hook the wires up and put it in the middle.
either your amp has a short..... or.... you have a bad ground
you need an amplifier first. decide where you want the amp, and wire it to that point. (amp comes with instructions for the wiring) once the amp is wired in, wire it to the radio(instructions come with amp) and screw it in. then locate where you want the sub(s) and wire it to that from the amp. almost all your instructions for installing subwoofers comes with the amp.
it is...but they wont perform properly nor sound right.
Usually when you get the radio the place you bought it will have a wiring harness that will fit the car. If not then go to a radio installation shop and ask for one. This will then plug right into the factory car harness and then you connect the radio to this harness. That's it. Good luck.
that's impossible, unless you want to hook it straight up to the radio, which is possible but you will only be getting 50 watts into a subwooer that usually has around 250-1000 watts so it will barely have any to no excursion, the reason why people have amps is because it has more wattage then a regular stereo..but you don't want to have a too big of a amp because that will blow your subwoofers, so you need to find a amp that is suitable for your subwoofers
Why bypass amp just get wiring diagram and hook up remote"blue wire" to the remote lead from factory amp. Or unplug amp use a meter and check which wire has power. Then turn off radio and check wire again should have no power with radio off. This will only work if factory radio is still installed. But that wire would be remote wire. Just hook up new radio remote wire to the found wire. Then connect speakers to factory plugs and use the amp.
