Examine the back of the ignition switch with the wires still attached. On the switch you should see letters. S for start, R for run. One wire is constantly hot. Using a test light, confirm that wire always hot, even when switch is off. Take a jumper wire from always hot to run (r) Take another jumper and go from always hot to start (s). engine should now crank over and run. Once running, remove jumper from start wire to prevent starter damage. Leave the jumper to run (r) in place. Engine will now run as long as run (r) is jumped. To stop engine, simply remove jumper from run (r) wire. Before attempting the procedure, depress accelerator once to the floor and let it up. This will put a shot of gas in the intake and set the automatic choke.
