take off filter and blow in direction of fuel flow, u should have very little to no restriction. or watch data streem on hand held computer to see what short term fuel trim is at idle and various rpms
Fuel is refined, transferred, stored, and shipped. Along the way it can get contaminated. The filter is used to trap any contaminates thus preventing them from clogging fuel injectors and costing you big money. Replace your fuel filter every 50,000 miles.
You don't. The fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank and is a permanent filter. _________________________________________________________________ You can actually replace the filter, but it means replacing the entire fuel pump. You can, however, get under the car and pull it out to be sure it does not have anything clogging it up and remove it if there is. The filter isn't sold separate from the pump though.
Check fuel filter for clogging, lines and fuel pump may be going on you. Good luck.
Yes it can.... if the fuel is so cold it will start to get wax crystals in it. Therefore the engine is not getting enough fuel and you will lose power and is clogging up your fuel filter. Other reasons can be clogged air filter, fuel filter, or water in fuel. Change the air filter and drain the fuel filter or change it if it's a year old or worse older.
no! running a car low on gas will make all the sediment in the tank be sucked in to the fuel pump and into the fuel filter clogging the filter. replace the fuel filter at 20 000 mile intervals. run the car no lower then a 1/4 tank
yes, and if you ran old gas you should run some fuel system cleaner and a new fuel filter due to the old gas gumming up the parts and clogging the filter
I think you are on the right track - sounds like it isn't getting enough fuel to keep running. You might have to change the fuel pump or filter or both. With luck, it might just be the fuel filter clogging up.
pressure test line comming from fuel tank, one of two ways,1.disconect line from fuel filter on side where fuel line connects from fuel tank,if pressure 26psi to 35psi reconnect line to filter and check your line on other side of filter if pressure holds your fuel pump and fuel filter are ok,the other way is to disconnect inlet line from tank to fuel regulator and check your fuel pressure, the only thing with this method is if your fuel filter is clogging or clogged you will not get an accurate fuel psi.you can also check your fuel regulator, you fuses,or your relays to anything that has to do with your, depending on what type of car you have
the fuel filter is in the fuel tank the fuel filter is in the fuel tank the fuel filter is in the fuel tank the fuel filter is in the fuel tank
this could be several things. If it occurs often there could be a fuel pump or fuel pump filter problem. The gas filter in the line could be clogging. The mass airflow sensor cound be going out.
You do not need a photo as it is easy to find. Crawl under the vehicle from the rear end. Locate the fuel filter just below the trunk area near the rear of the fuel tank. Identify the fuel filter as a silver or black cylindrical container attached to a black hose at both ends.
no. the air filter is to filter air, while the fuel filter is used to filter the fuel.
